Gold Sapporo Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido, opened in 1973. From the back tees the course measures 6,703 yards. It was designed by Hideo Takemura. The club is roughly a 20-minute taxi ride from JR Kitahiroshima Station on the Chitose Line, and by car it's about 15 minutes from the Hokkaido Expressway's Kitahiroshima interchange or 10 minutes from the Wakuatsu Smart IC. Caddy service is optional. Rounds are played in GPS-equipped riding carts that stay on the cart paths throughout the course. An on-site bath is available after the round. Green fees start at ¥5,546 on weekdays and rise to ¥9,346 on weekends. Now in its sixth decade, Gold Sapporo remains an 18-hole option for golfers based around Kitahiroshima.
