Hyogo Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Kobe's Kita ward, opened in 1961 and designed by Maeda Kenzo. The back tees measure 6,524 yards across the hilly terrain north of central Kobe. Golfers can reach the club by the Kobe Municipal Subway Hokushin Line to Tanigami Station, where a shuttle bus connects to the course; drivers can take the Hanshin Expressway Route 7 Hokushin Line to Minodani IC, about 15 minutes from the club. The course upgraded its cart fleet in 1998 to electromagnetic-induction, five-seat riding carts, still in use today. Caddy service is optional, so golfers can choose a caddy-accompanied round or play self-style with the riding cart. An onsen-fed bath is available at the clubhouse after the round. At over six decades old, Hyogo Country Club is one of the longer-established hilly courses in the Kobe area.
