Kasama Royal Golf Club is a 27-hole hilly course in Sakuragawa, Ibaraki Prefecture, made up of three nine-hole courses that combine to a par of 108 and a total yardage of 10,362 yards. It was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1993. The club is located at 426 Takahata, Sakuragawa, about a 10-minute taxi ride (around 1,800 yen) from Haguro Station on the JR Mito Line, and roughly 1 kilometer from the Kasama-nishi Interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. Green fees start from 8,000 yen on weekdays and 17,500 yen on weekends. Golfers ride around the course in five-seat riding carts equipped with remote control and onboard navigation. As a Pete Dye design built in the early 1990s, the course reflects the hilly Ibaraki terrain across its three combinable nine-hole routings, giving players a choice of 18-hole pairings from the full 27 holes. The short taxi ride from Haguro Station and quick access from the Kasama-nishi IC make it reachable both by rail and by car from the Tokyo area.
