Kumamoto Aso Country Club's Yu-no-tani Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in Minami-Aso, Kumamoto, playing 6,230 yards from the back tees. Seiichi Inoue, one of Japan's most prolific golf course architects, designed the layout, which opened in 1952, making it one of the older clubs in the Aso region. The clubhouse is located in Kawayo, Minami-Aso village, inside the Aso caldera area. By car, the course is about 40 minutes from Kumamoto IC via Route 57 and the Shin-Aso Ohashi bridge, or about 45 minutes from Mashiki IC via the Chouyo Ohashi bridge. Green fees start at 8,000 yen on weekdays and 13,500 yen on weekends. The club has an on-site bath for golfers after their round. With more than seven decades of history dating back to the early 1950s, the course is one of the established options for golfers visiting the Aso caldera.
