Lakes One Country Club's Mine Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture, opened in 1978. The course was built by Konoike Gumi Co., Ltd., a major Japanese construction company, and plays over hilly terrain typical of the region. From the back tees the course measures 6,546 yards. The club is the only course at this facility, distinguishing it from multi-course complexes elsewhere in the prefecture. Access is by car or taxi: JR Mine Line's Mine Station is about a 24-minute taxi ride from the course, and the Chugoku Expressway's Mine-nishi interchange serves as the nearest highway access point. Having opened nearly five decades ago, the Mine Course is an established part of Yamaguchi's inland golf scene, set in the hills near Mine city. The course's construction pedigree, with Konoike Gumi's civil engineering background, is reflected in its hilly routing through the Aso-shimo area of Toyota-mae-cho.
