Nara no Mori Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course set on hilly ground in Nara, part of a facility with two courses in total. This course measures 6,868 yards and was designed jointly by Toshio Kinoshita and Hale Irwin, opening in 1988. Access is by club bus from either Kintetsu-Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line or JR Nara Station on the Yamatoji Line, or by car via the Dai-ni Hanna Toll Road's Horai ramp, about 18km away. Rounds are played without a caddy, using navigation-equipped riding carts that seat four. Green fees start from 5,745 yen on weekdays and 6,654 yen on weekends, a narrower weekday-to-weekend gap than many Japanese clubs. A bath is available on site for players after their round. With Hale Irwin among its designers and direct club-bus access from Nara's two main train stations, Nara no Mori sits within easy reach for visitors based in Nara or Kyoto.
