Designed by architect Seiichi Inoue, the club opened in 1954 and plays to a back-tee yardage of 7,205 yards, one of the longer seaside layouts in the region. Caddy service is required for all rounds at Oarai GC. Green fees start from 26,330 yen on weekdays and 35,130 yen on weekends. Access from Tokyo is by rail or car. From JR Oarai Station on the Joban Line, a club bus takes about 20 minutes to reach the course. By car, the course is roughly 6km from the Mito-Oarai interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. With a 1954 opening date and a design by Seiichi Inoue, Oarai GC ranks among the older seaside courses in Ibaraki Prefecture, combining a full 7,205-yard test with required caddy service.
