Old Orchard Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Ibaraki Town, Higashi-Ibaraki District, designed by American architect Jim Fazio and opened in 1992. The course plays to 6,156 yards from the regular tees and stretches to 7,114 yards from the back tees, giving it real length for golfers who want a fuller test. Green fees run ¥4,546 on both weekdays and weekends. Rounds are played with GPS-equipped ride carts seating four to five players, and caddy service is available on an optional basis. The club has bath facilities for golfers after their round. Access is about a 35-minute taxi ride from JR Ishioka Station on the Joban Line, or within roughly 15 kilometers of the Iwama IC on the Joban Expressway. The Fazio design and hilly Ibaraki terrain combine to give the course a distinct character among the prefecture's golf offerings, with the back-tee yardage appealing to longer hitters.
