Osaito Golf Club opened in 1998 in Taiwa, Kurokawa District, Miyagi Prefecture, on a hilly routing designed by Susumu Tobari. The course plays 18 holes at par 72 over 6,867 yards from the back tees. The clubhouse sits at Kitazawayama, Higashinarita, Taiwa, roughly a 15-minute drive from JR Matsushima Station on the Tohoku Main Line. By car, it's about 15 kilometers from Taiwa Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway, or about 6 kilometers from Rifu-Shirakashidai Interchange on the Sendai Higashibu Road. The club runs a caddy-free format, with self-drive carts seating five and fairway access permitted, so golfers ride the course without a caddy assigned. A bathing facility is available on-site after the round. Together, the 1998 opening, Tobari design, and 6,867-yard par-72 routing make this one of the newer hilly courses in the Matsushima area.
