Otsu Country Club's Higashi (East) Course is a 27-hole, par-108 woodland layout in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, built by Shimizu Corporation and opened in 1969. Comprising three nine-hole courses with a combined yardage of 10,085, it is the older and larger of the club's two courses, predating the Nishi Course by three decades. It sits roughly 10km from the Kasatori Interchange on the Keiji Bypass. Rounds are played without caddies, using self-drive carts; fairway entry is available for an additional fee. A bath is available on-site after the round. Golfers can combine any two of the three nines for an 18-hole round, and the club's proximity to its sister Nishi Course gives visitors the option of a two-course stay in the Otsu area.
