Sakura Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Sakura, Chiba, opened in 1968. Designed by Seizo Tomizawa, the course plays 6,673 yards from the back tees across rolling ground, making it one of the longer-established hilly layouts in the Chiba area. Its most notable feature for visitors without a car is location: the course is just a 5-minute walk from Keisei-Sakura Station, an unusually short and walkable access route for a golf course in the region. Play is supported by electromagnetic-guided riding carts that follow the cart path automatically, and caddy service is available on request. After the round, players can use the onsite onsen-style bath. With more than five decades of history and rail access on foot, Sakura Country Club offers a straightforward day trip for golfers based in central Chiba or Narita without needing to rent a car.
