Sapporo Minami Golf Club's Komaoka Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in the Makomanai district of Sapporo's Minami Ward, Hokkaido. The course opened in 1966, was originally designed by Chin Seisui, and was renovated by Taizo Kawada between 2013 and 2015. It plays to a total of 6,453 yards over hilly terrain. Golfers can choose between a caddy-accompanied round or self-play, and power carts are used throughout. The course is within reach of Makomanai Station on the Namboku subway line, making it one of the more accessible 18-hole courses in the Sapporo area for visitors without a car. With six decades of history and a mid-2010s renovation, the Komaoka Course combines an established routing with more recently updated conditioning, giving visiting golfers a par-72 test that reflects both its original design and its later upgrade.
