Sapporo-Otaru Golf Club is an 18-hole seaside course located in Asarigawa Onsen, Otaru, Hokkaido, opened in 1965. Designed by Osamu Ueda, the layout plays to 6,643 yards from the back tees. The course is reached by taxi, about 10 minutes from Asari Station, or by car via the Sapporo-Otaru Expressway's Asari IC, roughly 6km away. Play is self-service without caddies, using navigation-equipped self-drive riding carts around the seaside terrain. The clubhouse has bathing facilities, and its location in Asarigawa Onsen places it near one of Otaru's hot spring districts, allowing golfers to combine a round with a soak afterward. As a course dating to the mid-1960s, Sapporo-Otaru Golf Club is among the older seaside layouts in the Sapporo-Otaru corridor of Hokkaido, with easy access from both the expressway and rail.
