Shigarakinomori Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course set on hilly terrain in Koka, Shiga Prefecture, in the Nagano district of Shigaraki. The course opened in 1974 and was designed by architect Seizo Tomizawa. It plays to 6,879 yards. Carts on the course use the VIMO electromagnetic guidance system rather than a standard gas or electric cart. The club is reached by car via the Shin-Meishin Expressway's Shigaraki IC, about 7 minutes away. Opened in the mid-1970s, the course predates several of the other clubs in the Shigaraki area, including Orange Shiga Country Club, which opened a decade later in 1984. Its par-72, 6,879-yard routing runs across the hilly ground typical of the Koka region, with the VIMO cart system guiding players around the course automatically via electromagnetic tracks embedded in the cart paths.
