Sun Lake Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, part of a larger facility with three courses in total. The featured 18-hole layout plays 6,370 yards from the back tees. The original design is credited to Lee Trevino, his first golf course design in Japan; a further nine holes were added in 1993, designed by Hideyo Sugimoto. Golfers arriving by train can reach the club from Shimoimaichi Station on the Tobu Nikko Line, where a club bus is available; drivers can exit the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road at Osawa Interchange. Located in Nagahata, Nikko City, the course sits close to New Barclay CC, another Nikko-area facility off the same interchange. With Lee Trevino's name attached to the original routing and the 1993 nine-hole addition by Sugimoto, Sun Lake's three-course complex gives visiting golfers a choice of combinations within a single Nikko property.
