Takawa Royal Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course set on hilly terrain in Oto, Tagawa District, Fukuoka Prefecture. It opened in 1974 and was designed by Peter Thomson together with Sukemasa Shimamura. The club renewed its golf carts in November 2024, introducing new carts across the course. Golfers reach the club via the Hita-Hikosan railway line to Tagawa-Ita Station, from which a club shuttle bus is available, or by car via the Kyushu Expressway, exiting at Kokura-Minami IC, about 28 kilometers away. As a single 18-hole par-72 layout without additional nine-hole loops, the course is a standalone circuit rather than part of a multi-course resort. Its 1974 opening places it among Fukuoka's longer-established clubs, and the recent cart renewal reflects ongoing investment in the facility half a century after its founding.
