The course is exceptionally close to the expressway network: the Tsuga-Nishikata Smart Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway is about 100 meters from the course, with the Tochigi Interchange roughly 15 minutes away and the Tsuga Interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway about 5 minutes away. This makes Thomson Country Club one of the more convenient hilly courses in the Nishikata area for drivers, sitting near neighboring courses Ōkura Country Club and Manago Country Club. Its 6,818-yard back-tee length is longer than these neighbors, reflecting its 2000 opening and modern layout standards.
