Tsukubane Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture. Designed by Yasohachi Fukui and opened in 1974, the course measures 6,302 yards and follows rolling terrain near Mount Tsukuba. A club bus runs from Tsukuba Station on the Tsukuba Express line on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, though reservations are required; by car, the course is about 20 kilometers from Tsuchiura-kita Interchange on the Joban Expressway. Caddies are available on an optional basis, and golfers ride in carts around the course. As a 1974 layout, Tsukubane predates many of the newer resort-style courses built in Ibaraki during the 1980s and 1990s expansion, giving it a more established, mature routing typical of hilly Japanese clubs from that period.
