What Golf in Japan Costs

Every number, up front: green fees, our booking fee, and what you settle at the course.

In short

A round costs two things: the green fee, about ¥10,000–¥30,000, paid at the course, and our booking fee of US$30 per golfer (minimum US$60 per booking). We do not mark up green fees. Cart, caddie where it applies, and the customary lunch on a two-part round are settled at the counter. We quote the full figure before you book.

How our booking fee works

One flat figure: US$30 per golfer, with a minimum of US$60 per booking. It covers the reservation, the guest paperwork each club requires in Japanese, and the coordination that gets you onto courses a visitor usually cannot reach.

You register a card when you send a request, and nothing is charged that day. The fee is taken by Stripe only once your tee time is confirmed. If we cannot secure it, you pay nothing. Green fees are never marked up: you pay the course directly, the same figure a local member would.

A worked example

Two friends play a weekday round at a course with a ¥15,000 green fee:

  • Green fees: ¥15,000 × 2 = ¥30,000, paid at the course
  • Booking fee: US$30 × 2 = US$60, paid to us after the tee time is secured
  • Lunch, cart, and caddie where it applies: settled at the course

We confirm the exact figure, including any cart, caddie, and tax, before you commit.

Common questions

How much does a round of golf in Japan cost for a visitor?

Budget two figures: the green fee (about ¥10,000–¥30,000, paid at the course) plus our booking fee of US$30 per golfer, with a minimum of US$60 per booking. On top of that, a two-part round usually includes a sit-down lunch, and cart or caddie fees where they apply, all settled at the course.

What is the Elite Golf Japan booking fee, and when is it charged?

US$30 per golfer, with a minimum of US$60 per booking. You register a card when you request a booking (¥0 today), and the fee is charged by Stripe only once we secure your tee time. If we cannot, nothing is charged.

Do you add a markup to the green fee?

No. Green fees are set by each course and paid directly at the course on the day. We do not mark them up. Our only charge is the booking fee above.

What extra costs should I expect at the course?

Green fees are settled at the counter after play, along with cart, caddie where applicable, the customary lunch on a two-part round, and taxes. We quote the full figure before you book, so there are no surprises.
